“I woke up this morning with the sound of the waves, not the annoying clock alarm that I used to have back at the city. As soon as I realized that I wasn’t dreaming, I couldn’t help but smile. I walked to my private balcony and that was it: the infinite dazzling Caribbean waters in front of me with the sun rising up. It was a perfect bright day for my pals and me to play golf, so I dressed up like a professional golf player and prepared my club for the game!

The 18-hole golf course designed by my golf idol Nick Price is as beautiful as a postcard. It has amazing greens and lagoons carved from jungle lush vegetation framing the turquoise waters that have always taken my breath away. It was a very pleasant game, probably the best that I have ever had.

After having a refreshing and quick swimming at the pool in the Club House, I had a bath and make myself presentable to meet with my wife and kids. They were so happy, had never seen them like that.  We had a delicious light breakfast at the restaurant and talked about our plans for the day.

We walked to the Beach Club. Kids were more than ready to play in the sand -they could spend the whole day by the sea-, so they started to build a fortress while my wife and I enjoyed some piñas coladas in the lounge chairs under the shade of palm trees.

At lunchtime we were ready to explore Playa del Carmen! So we walked for about 5 or 10 minutes and the colorful Fifth Avenue with its restaurants, shops and happy people caught our attention. We bought some Mexican souvenirs and had lunch in a restaurant offering international and Mexican cuisine and fresh seafood. Later, this evening we came back home in Grand Coral and spend the night lying on the sand counting stars above the ocean.

This is the beginning of a new life, I wouldn’t change a thing…”
